2. Middle East In The Time Of The Patriarchs

This is a simple map of the Middle East at the time of the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph).

There were few geographical boundaries with most of the population living in Kingdom State Cities (cities run by a king, that had no allegiances to a larger state or country).

Most people either belonged to a city or were nomadic. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were mini kingdoms unto themselves capable of fighting off most rivals and storming a city if they needed to.

Groups of cities or kings made treaties to support each other.
