The 12 Step Course

🌐 English | ν•œκ΅μ–΄ | δΈζ–‡

The 12 Step course is a study, where over a period of 12 lessons, we look at the big picture of the Bible.

The goal of this course is to help you understand the big picture of the Bible and where different parts and stories fit. We look at the history of the Bible story, not the theology or meaning of each step. By doing this we have a framework to think about the smaller details when we are reading the Bible. We know where different stories and people fit and so can understand what we are reading more fully.

What Happens In A Study

The course breaks the Bible into 12 historical times (steps) and for each study we look at one of these steps.

Each step has:

  • Four sub sections
  • A summary in 1 -2 sentences
  • Important person or people
  • A map of general physical location.

Each week we start by remembering the previous steps. This helps us to what happened in each step of the Bible.

  • We then cover the new step we are studying
  • Finally we have a discussion where we can ask questions
  • Each step also has extra reading you can do if you choose to.

Who Is It For

This study is suitable for Christians and non Christians alike. It mostly looks at history and people and the big idea behind each historical era of the Bible.

People who have studied the Bible a lot may find it helpful to build a framework to fit some of what they have read into historical and geographic context.

People who have not read the Bible will find it useful to understand what this book, made of 66 smaller books, covering thousands of years and hundreds of characters is all about. They will be able to see where people fit, where they were and what was happening at that time.
